Alexandra H. Olgesby

Alexandra earned her law degree, summa cum laude, from the University of Mississippi School of Law in December 2006 and has been associated with Campbell DeLong since January 2007.  She also earned a Master of Laws in Taxation, cum laude, from the University of Alabama School of Law in August 2010.  Her experience includes practice in the areas of business and corporate law, estate planning and probate, agricultural law, commercial litigation, bankruptcy and creditors’ rights, and taxation.

She regularly represents both individual and corporate clients concerning the tax consequences and structuring of all types of business transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, sales, reorganizations and tax-deferred exchanges.  Alex has experience in the drafting of wills and trusts, and in the probate of estates.  She also assists clients in connection with audits by the Internal Revenue Service, appeals before the Internal Revenue Service, adversary proceedings before the U.S. Tax Court, protests of ad valorem tax assessments, requests for Private Letter Rulings from the Internal Revenue Service, applications for 501(c)(3) status, and in ERISA and other regulatory matters.
