Charles Ty Austin

Ty is a native of Panola County, Mississippi. He joined the firm shortly after graduation and

handles real estate, agricultural, estate, and corporate related matters. Prior to law school, Ty

worked for a Mississippi Delta based community bank and for one of the largest banks in

Mississippi. He received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Mississippi. While an

undergraduate, Ty interned for U.S. Senator Trent Lott. He also obtained his Master of Business

Administration degree from Delta State University in Cleveland. While in law school, Ty worked

as a law clerk for 17th Circuit Court Judge Smith Murphey. He spent summers working for the

Mississippi Secretary of State and the Mississippi Attorney General. He also spent his last

summer of law school working for the Mississippi Commissioner of Agriculture and Commerce

on agricultural law and policy related matters. Ty is active in the Mississippi Bar Association,

American Bar Association, and Delta Young Lawyers. He is also active in the Federalist Society,

Christian Legal Society, and the William C. Keady Chapter of American Inns of Court. Ty is

married to Faith Tedford Austin of Belzoni. They reside in Leland where they attend Leland

Methodist Church. In his spare time, he enjoys hunting, traveling, Ole Miss athletics, fishing, and

camping.
