BRITTANY BROOKS FRANKEL

Practice Summary
Brittany earned her law degree, summa cum laude, from Mississippi College School of Law in May 2015. Brittany then served as a term law clerk to Magistrate Judge Jane M. Virden in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Mississippi for two years. She joined Campbell DeLong, LLP as an associate in January 2018.

While in law school, Brittany served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Mississippi College Law Review, where she organized a day-long symposium entitled, Ten Years Later: The Effects of Tort Reform in Mississippi. Brittany also served as the Internal Competition Problem Editor for the Moot Court Board and was elected to the Order of the Scribes for excellence in legal writing.

Brittany received Outstanding Student Awards for the highest scoring grade in several courses, including: Agricultural Law, Civil Procedure II, Contracts I, ESI & E-Discovery, Legal Research I, Legal Research II, Legal Writing I, Legal Writing II, Property, Torts I, and Torts II. Brittany was also selected as a Hearin Fellow, named a Mississippi Defense Lawyers Association Scholar, and received the McGlinchey Stafford award for the highest overall average upon completion of her first year of law school.

Brittany completed several externships while at MC Law. She served as a guardian ad litem and made several limited practice appearances in the 20th Chancery Court Division, and she was also served as an extern to Mississippi Supreme Court Justice Ann H. Lamar. In her free time, Brittany served as a Bar exam tutor, a Legal Writing Teaching Assistant, and volunteered at Mission First Legal Aid Clinic.

Brittany is licensed to appear in all districts of Mississippi, the Mississippi Supreme Court, and before the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.

Brittany and her husband, Martin, have one child, John Martin. They are members of Leland Presbyterian Church, where Brittany serves as the Secretary of the Christian Education Committee and the Moderator of Presbyterian Women. Brittany also serves as the Chapter Care Chairman of Junior Auxiliray of Greenville and is a member of the Junior Garden Club of Greenville. Brittany serves on several community boards, including the Delta Children's Museum, and she has been appointed as the Women's Chair of Washington County Farm Bureau. Brittany is a diehard Mississippi State fan, and she and her family enjoy traveling to watch the Bulldogs play.
